I don't know if I was imagining it but I thought I read in an old magazine like Sega Visions that the flying cow was supposed to be visible at some point in every level although this may have not been true of the final game. It would be neat to see the Peter Puppy level change from the MD/Mega CD color palette to the SNES palette as you play the level. If they could add some of the graphical effects and changes from the SNES, that would be swell too. It would be nice if the other levels got some significant changes and maybe extra little secret areas. I only recall the first two levels having any significant changes. Ideally I'd like to see an enhanced version of the Mega CD game with widescreen and where all the levels were given significant level design changes compared to SNES/MD.

But I did like some of the SNES graphical effects. This made the SNES version very hard to play for me as I preferred having a wider view. Mega CD/MD had a larger resolution than SNES, so you get a zoomed in view on the SNES. This is a subreddit for a hella groovy game.
